Nacimiento del Guadiela Recreation Area

Next to the source of this Cuenca river, located on the opposite bank and just under a kilometre from the junction with the path. PR CU 05Here we find this shady area of pine forest used as a picnic area.

This is a former landfill area that was sealed and renaturalised, in which today we find a fairly large pine forest where a shelter and a few tables with benches There is also a stone-built fountain, where you can have lunch or stop along the way. It is worth mentioning that there is a fountain being built, but we have never seen it with water, perhaps in the years to come it will gush forth from its spout.

In addition, the proximity of this area to the Guadiela River (about 100 metres) and its source make it one of the best options for getting to know this rich environment, although if we had to recommend a time of year to visit it, it would be, without doubt, the ruttingFrom here, the sunsets and sunrises are accompanied by those very special roars that more and more travellers are looking for and enjoying.

<< How to get there?

Getting to this area is very easy, once in the area Iron CaveOn the opposite side of the road, on the outskirts of the road, we find the signs of the official footpaths with which we share part of the route (PR CU 05). We have to follow the direction of the paths, continuing along the straight path until we come to a small bridge, which we cross and continue along the left-hand side, always parallel to the river, leaving the PR CU 05 route. 700 metres of this bridge On the left hand side we will see the access and the construction of the stone shelter, and we will have reached our destination.

Remember that right on the bridge, if we continue along the PR CU 05 path, we would reach the source of the river Guadiela located approximately 1.5 kilometres.
