Los Ceños recreational area can be found near the road that connects the villages of  Ocentejo y Valtablado del Río.

To access the recreational area Los Ceños we must approach the vicinity of kilometre 12 of the GU-929, we can access it from Ocentejo or from Valtablado del ríoDepending on where we come from, we went from the second town, so once we approach the area, first, on the left hand side, we find an area where we can park, the space is reduced, so if you find it full, continue along the road a little more. A few metres further on, on the right hand side, we will find an enclosure delimited by a fence, and indicated with a sign, with space for about 8 vehicles where we can also stop.

We highlight that both car parks are smallIn the summer, it is not unusual for weekends in July and August to be crowded and impossible to park. The road is very narrow, with hardly any space to drive on, let alone stop. If we go in the early hours of the morning, we will probably be lucky. Once you have parked, all you have to do is go down the paths that you will soon see, towards the river bed, and you will soon come across the area.

It is worth noting that this picnic area is equipped with several table areas One of the areas is a large wooden shelter, with large tables and benches, where we can take refuge in case we need it, it was very good for us to have a quiet lunch in the shade.

Apart from the tables and the shelter used as a dining room, there are no other man-made interventions in this natural environment.

The Los Ceños recreational area takes its name from the spot where part of its picnic area is located, "The Eyebrows are some beautiful limestone cliffs that are extra steep, at the foot of which we can enjoy good shade and the song and flight of many rock and forest species.

In itself, it is a pleasant recreation area which in the summer months also becomes a fantastic bathing area as it extends along a good stretch, where you can enjoy areas with natural pools and swimming pools, as well as waterfalls created by the unevenness of the river itself. You can take advantage of the current to swim a few metres in a calm and relaxing way. In short, this is an ideal place for recreation and relaxation for young and old, swimmers and walkers, for all nature lovers.

In conclusion, it is worth mentioning that the recreational area of Los Ceños has no refuse collection serviceNeither in the car park nor in the picnic area. Please, there are many of us who have been passing through these places lately, so let's try that whoever comes here finds it at least the same or better than we have found it. Please comply with the mountain and take your rubbish with you.
