La Canaleja

The recreational area La Canaleja is located in the meadow of Valdemalos on the road to Orea Beteta Orihuela del Tremedal after passing the river of stones of OreaIt is the ideal place to take advantage of the visit and take a break.

It is set up as a picnic area and has a fountain and a few tables with picnic benches in the shade of a dense and mature pine forest, ideal for sheltering in the hot months. It is also one of those places where the lovers of the Birdwatching can enjoy the wide variety of forest birds and raptors that populate these forests.

The San Cristobal hill and its geodesic vertex are also relatively close by and is another recommended visit as it is one of the highest points in the whole Natural Park. Its 1862 metres give us a view of the valley on which it sits. Orea during the day, and during the night it is one of those spots where you can enjoy the beauty of the night skies, stargazing from here is a marvel.
