The Eyes of the Carchemite
The Ojos de la Cárquima, are located on the left bank of the Tagus after passing the Hundido de Armallones. It is a natural waterfall, the result of water that has filtered through the limestone rocks, which emerges through two caves, generously pouring its waters into the Tagus.
They are seasonal waterfalls and it is not easy to see them, as they only appear during periods of heavy rainfall or thaw, which is why nowadays we can only see them in all their splendour in the springs of particularly rainy years. And to make them even more special, to visit them you have to walk the road that goes from Ocentejo goes to the Salinas de la Inesperada.
