Mirador del Cerro

El Mirador del Cerro in Softening is, as its name suggests, a natural promontory with excellent views over the Valle del river AblanquejoThe area of Ablanque and the endless succession of forests and millstones that is the whole area of the Upper Tagus.

To get there to the Mirador del Cerro, we have to take the asphalted track that goes from Ablanque to Buenafuente del Sistal, we will leave behind the Roman" bridge over the Ablanquejo and once we have crossed the river we will see a path on the right hand side, which climbs up to the Mirador and the Chozón Museum of AblanqueOne of these ancient constructions, reconstructed and aimed at the knowledge of the uses and traditions of yesteryear. It can be visited and is a perfect representation of the so-called "chozones sabineros".

The way up can be done on foot, by bicycle or by 4×4 car, although if you are in Ablanque it is a very pleasant walk of a few kilometres.
