Valtablado Bridge bathing area

This spot is more of a bathing area than a recreational area in the strict sense of the word. It is located in a ford of the river Tagus just under the bridge of the GU-929in passing Valtablado del Río where a poplar grove provides pleasant shade. It is enough to stroll along the riverbank to find a good number of ideal areas to enjoy the Tagus river, both for its remarkable width and its depth. Although it is true that you should not lose sight of the current, which is less calm than it may seem at first glance.

In summer crowds gather under this bridge to enjoy an afternoon swim in the cool shade, so if you're interested in taking a dip in the swimming area of the Valtablado bridgeWe recommend getting up early, as even though the site is quite large, the parking area is very small, so the earlier you get up the better the chances of finding a space.

And also remember that this area is very close to the town, so we have to leave the site the same or better than we found it, taking our rubbish to the nearest containers, as it is not a recreational area, nor does it have a rubbish collection service.
