GR-66

The "The Brotherhood Way is the Guadalajara sector of the GR-66, it runs through the Molina-Alto Tajo Geopark. from Milmarcos to Peralejos de las Truchas in the Martinete Bridge. On this path, close links are forged with Aragon intertwining the GR-66 with the GR-24 in Calmarza, where a milestone bears witness to this union. This gives coherence to the "Camino de la Hermandad".

The "Asociación de Senderistas de Milmarcos" has put a lot of effort and tenacity in making this path exist today, with the collaboration of the following organisations Rillo de Gallo, Corduente y Tartanedo The route has been signposted with the characteristic colours of the Gran Recorrido trail and a series of tesserae have been installed in each of the towns that the route passes through (Milmarcos, Hinojosa, Tartanedo, Pardos, Rillo de Gallo, Olmeda de Cobeta, Villar de Cobeta and Peralejos de las Truchas and a branch that runs to the Virgen de la Hoz through Corduente).

The GR 66 is a trail whose project includes the signposting of more than 600 kilometres through Castilla-La Mancha. The route crosses the region from north to south, from Aragon, where it links up with the GR 24, passing through the provinces of Guadalajara, Cuenca and Albacete until it reaches Andalusia and Murcia, where it links up with the GR 7.

The path begins in the lands of Guadalajara, on the provincial border, between Algar de Mesa (Guadalajara) y Calmarza (Zaragoza). Continue south and once you reach Villar de Cobeta y San Pedro´s Bridge shares a route with the GR 10 (From Valencia to Lisbon) through the Alto Tajo canyon to the Martinete bridge, where the GR 66 splits off to head towards Cuenca.

The route crosses the Serranía de Cuenca, arrives at the very centre of the old town of Basin and continues on to La Manchuela along the Cabriel River. Once in the province of AlbaceteThe route follows the old Baeza-Utiel railway line and passes close to the capital, Albacete, to arrive at the Alcaraz and Segura Mountains. The GR 66 ends at Nerpiowhere he joinsl GR 7 which links to Murcia, Granada and Jaén.

The GR 66 has a variant that links Calmarza with Tartanedo in the north. The GR 66.4 (Through the Mesa Valley) has a distance of 38 kilometres.

There is a book by "Editores del Henares". which details the route and is highly recommended in case you want to do it.
