This recreational area is located in a meadow next to the rocky bed of the Gallo river in its section through the spectacular Barranco de la Hoz. 

It is equipped with its informative poster and a perimeter fence where we can find several stone tables and benches where you can take a break along the way. It has a large car park where you can park comfortably.

The landscape that surrounds us here is overwhelming, masses of reddish stone rise above our heads, with a multitude of cracks and hollows, home to the fauna of the place. A river full of red debris which its brave passage has been detaching and tearing away from these rocks and a dense and humid riverside forest, more than sheltered between the walls of this beautiful canyon.

It is one of those places where, even without a plan, worth a stop and contemplate the environment that surrounds us, since the wild nature only altered by the road we are driving on, here it is overwhelming, we are in one of the most beautiful most beautiful canyons in the whole Upper Tagus Natural ParkThe work of the Gallo River must be acknowledged and admired here.

Finally, we are in a simple area, with few resources, perfect for a quick stop or an afternoon in the cool of the river, it does not have containers where to deposit our rubbish, nor the park has a permanent service to take care of it, so we advise you to pick up everything you litter and deposit it in the containers of the urban nuclei or in those of the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Hoz, very close to this place.
