La Laguna Recreational Area

Located in the municipality of TordesilosIt is located in the easternmost part of the province of Guadalajara, practically on the provincial border between Castile and Aragon. The La Laguna recreational area is a small area equipped so that everyone can enjoy the possibilities of its location.

It is a space equipped with  tablessurrounded by poplar trees on the banks of the Tordesilos Lagoon. It also has a shelter and a sourceIt is an ideal place to rest in nature on the shores of a beautiful lagoon, where birdwatching will leave us with some curious images thanks to its proximity to the endorheic basin of Gallocanta.

Here we find a great variety of aquatic birds, related to this environment and the surrounding landscape, such as the Mallard, Grey Heron, Northern Shoveler, Common Pochard, Common Swift, Grey Shrike, Grey Wagtail, Grey Wheatear, Carrion crow, Calandra lark, Black redstart or Spotted flycatcher among many other examples that delight birdwatchers.

<< How to get there?

To get to this recreational area La Laguna, we have several options depending on our starting point. It is located right on the border between Guadalajara and Teruel, so if we are coming from Teruelwe will go to Pozondón, RódenasWe will continue towards Tordesilos, and shortly afterwards on our left we will come to a path that will take us to the lagoon. From El Alto Tajowe will have to go to the foothills of the Natural Park, up to Alustante and from there take the CM-2112 to Tordesilos where we will turn along the GU-968 to a little more than two kilometres until it meets the detour next to some old sheepfolds to our right.
