Barranco de la Hoz recreational area

The recreational area La Hoz Ravineis located on the margins of the Gallo river and is easily accessible from the road that runs parallel to it. It is ideal to rest for a while while enjoying this marvellous location.

<< How to get there?

To get there, we depart from the town of Corduente and head towards Ventosa, before reaching Ventosa, at a crossroads with the GU-958turn right to continue along this road, towards the Sickle gorgeWe will take the road to our destination, a few kilometres further on.

First we will meet the monument to forestryThere we can park in a large meadow that has been fitted out as a car park. The area is just on the other side of the road, has a small access and space for a couple of cars, so if we are not the only ones around here we will probably park next to the monument.

This recreational area, barranco de la hoz, has a small area of tables next to a sourcesurrounded by a wooden perimeter fence under a dense shadow of a riverside forest made up of large poplars. It is not a large area but it is an ideal place to rest and it is also very well located to visit one of the wonders of the world. Upper Taj Natural Parko.

<< What to do?

Very close to this rest area, there is the La Hoz Ravine, essential visit if we travel through these curious and magical landscapes of this area of the park. If we continue on the road ahead, we will see the curious rock formations The birds of prey are often a refuge for birds of prey, which are easy to spot, as the flight of the griffon vulture is always present. On a bend and at the foot of a large tower of red sandstone, you will find the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Hoz and a hostel-restaurant where you can enjoy a good meal.

Remember that there are no bins or litter bins in this environment, we will have to take our rubbish back with us to keep this environment as it should be.
