Muela Pinilla and Muela del Puntal

La Muela Pinilla y del Puntal is located in the municipality of Cuenca, in the province of Cuenca. Masegosa. The protected area covers an area of 640.47 ha and includes the whole of the Public Utility Mountains number 221, called "Muela Pinilla" and number 125, called "Muela del Puntal", as well as the areas of public domain that may exist within it. The site was declared a natural monument on 23 September 2003.

The predominant morphogenetic system is the karstThe exokarst is very well developed throughout the entire tooth, with different closed depressions (dolines and uvalasmainly), lapiáces of varying degrees of development, as well as other associated karst phenomena such as chasms, sinkholes and sinkholes.

The outcrop of the formation Enchanted City in Muela Pinilla is reflected in the development of a ruinous relief of considerable extension that is known in the area as "...".El Tormagal". In it, the development of "tormos"and other morphologies such as arches y alleysas well as minor forms such as kamenitzas.

There is a very well signposted route that takes us around the whole of the muela, first ascending one side, walking along the plateau and then descending through the area where we park our vehicle.

Moreover, this muela is one of the best places for mycological exploitation, if you go for a walk at the right time of the year, you are sure to catch some mushrooms to add to your casserole.

The access area to Muela Pinilla and El Puntal is located on the road CM-2106which links the towns of Peralejos de las TruchasIn Guadalajara with Tragacete in the province of Cuenca. Depending on where we are coming from, we will have a clear and signposted access to the right or left a few kilometres from the crossroads that leads us to Tragacete. You can't get lost.
