Museum of Molina de Aragón

Located in the cultural complex of the Convent of San Franciscothe Regional Museum from Molina de Aragón houses an excellent collection of pieces that try to show the cultural, geological and environmental richness of the region of Molina de Aragón and Alto Tajo, as well as the evolution and history of the region.

The Molina Museum is divided into six rooms with different themes:

Palaeontology RoomFossils: shows the fossil record of the Molina - Alto Tajo region through a series of excellent pieces from different parts of the world. It develops the evolution of living beings during the last 450 million years.

Entomology RoomThe collection presents a collection of the different orders of insects, with special attention to the Lepidoptera (butterflies of the Upper Tagus).

Environment Roomrecreation of the varied habitats of the region by means of animals recovered for their naturalisation, from small birds to large mammals.

Human Evolution RoomDesigned by the prestigious researcher Juan Luis Arsuaga and his team at the Fundación Ancestros, it shows a complete vision of the evolution of the human species.

Excellent replicas of the most famous fossils found throughout the history of anthropology show us an updated perspective on the origin and evolution of our species.

Archaeology RoomPresentation of the extraordinary archaeological legacy of the region of Molina de Aragón-Alto Tajo from the Palaeolithic to the medieval period, highlighting the magnificent collection of the Celtiberian world and the pieces from the medieval archaeological site, "El Prao de los Judiosin the vicinity of the castle.

Temporary Exhibition Hall, where the pieces and works that arrive temporarily at the museum are housed.
