Route from Cobeta to San Antonio Chapel

This is a route located around the village of Cobeta towards the hermitage of San Antonio and then return to the town, following a circular route through juniper forests, fields and hills full of Aragonites. Its 5 kilometres and its low gradient make it a perfect route for the whole family, especially if you like geology.

We start this route right at the entrance to the townpractically at the foot of the tower The dirt track that leads to the hermitage is born, we simply continue straight on until we find it on the right, you can't miss it, besides, the power line marks the way.

From the hermitage, we continue our way which will lead us to cross a small stream, we continue straight on, a few metres further on we take the turning on the left and continue, we will then be bordering the Peña Grande, one of the hills rich in aragonites, whose stop is marked on the track.

We will always continue to turn to the Peña Grandeafter passing the site of aragonitesWe must leave it to our left and start the way back to Cobeta, it is here where our route becomes blurred and we will have to be somewhat intuitive. Continuously ascending, we cross a multitude of fields until we reach the top of the hill on the outskirts of the village, on the opposite side of the village from where we started our journey.

Signposting and Start of the Route

This route leads from Cobeta to the hermitage of San Antonio, does not count with its own signposting, although if we start from Cobeta and decide to start the route from the tower, from there to the hermitage, we will be accompanied and guided by the signposting corresponding to the Georuta 3We will visit the first three stops of this geological route. It is a simple route, but we always recommend downloading the track for peace of mind.
