Location: Softening

Situated in the northernmost part of the Alto Tajo natural park, it is located SofteningThe history of the town began as land occupied by free peasants who exploited it and who only recognised the King as their Lord.
Subsequently, they were grouped into political-administrative units called Común de villa y tierra, which had their own charters.
In the surrounding area there are many archaeological remains and numerous hectares of beautiful pine forests, as well as the river that gives its name to the town, the AblanquejoThe Tagus River, which is only 8 kilometres long, creates beautiful landscapes before flowing into the Tagus River.
