Viewpoint Pie Molino.

This viewpoint is located at an altitude of 1,425 metres above sea level, on the Muela de Utieljust above the village of Peralejos de las Truchasin the heart of the Alto Tajo. The panoramic view from the Pie Molino shows the profile of limestone rocks and cliffs peeping out from the dense and varied vegetation of its slopes and heights. From here you can contemplate the spectacular Altos de la Campanathe village of Peralejos de las Truchas and the shady areas of Belvalle, on the Cuenca side. Just in front of the viewpoint, there is a rockfall over this spot, specifically the Terreras de la Virgen.

The best way to visit it is by taking one of the routes that cross the Muela de Utielalways keep an eye out as there are many chasms,  as that of the ChaparralAlthough most of them are fenced off, it is advisable not to lose sight of where you set foot. Along the route it is easy to observe different species of forest birds such as finches, blue tits, crossbills, crossbills and woodpeckers, and once at the viewpoint, the flight of the spectacular griffon vultures that occupy these canyons will hover at eye level, a view you will never forget.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that in the surrounding area, you can find a multitude of farrowing crates in ruins that recall those times when the presence of large livestock was not a rarity or the remains of ancient trenches excavated during the Civil War, as the Tagus River became the border between the Republican and Francoist zones shortly after the war began.
