Location: Poveda de la Sierra

Poveda de la Sierra one of the villages hooks Alto Tajo, offers the visitor a privileged natural space full of itineraries and corners of great interest such as the Poveda waterfalland the canyon of the Tagus, as well as the Horcajo ravine and Hoz del Tajuelo gorge.
The main industry in the locality was textiles with looms, fulling and carding machines cloth mills that made use of the abundant flax and the excellent wool of the area. There were also two flour mills and a hydroelectric power station. Today, the quarries of kaolin have made Poveda a mining town where construction and a growing service sector linked to tourism are also important.
