Suction cup is located on a plain at the entrance to the well-known Barranco de la Hoz ravine. Set on the left bank of the wide valley of the river Gallo, it is surrounded by dense pine and juniper forests.
Of Ventosa we know little about its remote origins: a settlement Celtiberian of which some vestiges still remain in the Coronado HillIts more immediate origins date back to the 12th century, with the repopulation efforts of the Lordship of Molina. The remains of its defensive tower date from the 13th century.
Near the town we find the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Hoz and the surrounding natural landscape, the Barranco de la Hoz,The legend tells us that the peasant who found the carving of the Virgen de la Hoz, which is in the sanctuary, while he was looking for his lost cow, was from here.
